Yesterday was Red Nose Day. I watched some of the comedy on BBC1 last night and it was cool. The videos showing the poverty in Africa and the brokenness here in the UK was truly heartbreaking and much more hard hitting than normal. God’s power at work to restore and heal is so powerful even those who don’t know him are working to bring justice. Last night they raised an astonishing £40m which seems like a lot, but really is just a drop in the ocean.

Today I’m working some of the technical stuff at the Soul Action one day conference. It’s exciting to see a whole bunch of people looking to serve God’s restoration mission. We were reminded this morning about the power of one person to make a change.

It challenges me to remember that these small pin pricks of light in the darkness are important. Jesus was just one man who changed the world. As we follow him and get stuck into making his plan our plan, so can we.
